Our philosophy is to create a safe, respectful place where any child can discover their voice, experience the freedom of movement, and take risks. Our goal is to offer learning experiences that increase skill level and self confidence. Every child is unique and will find the technique in time. We want to awaken their senses and let dance shape who they are.

What a fun day of dance at the ADTNJ Workshop! 37 MAFA students attended the workshop at Montclair State University’s beautiful dance facility. We learned ballet with a ballet company member, tap with a Rockette, Jazz with a Broadway star and Break Dancing with an Eminem backup dancer. We won the Spirit award and watched our Chaliff ballet winners (Juliette, Luba and Zoe) perform their winning ballet dance (swipe to the end to get a glimpse of their performance!) All of the MAFA students made the teachers so proud with their hardwork, professionalism, and dance ability!! MAFA ROCKS!!

The girls and the dancers had so much fun learning dances, dressing up in Halloween costumes, and doing special Halloween crafts! 🎃👻 Be on the lookout for the next Dance Day as we get closer to the winter holidays and support our competing team!

This week is a special one because it’s packed full of our amazing MAFA alumni who are working professional dancers, choreographers, and some are even current MAFA faculty! ✨ We are also so excited to welcome @canyoncarroll to our studio, and love whenever @maiajustine is in town! Get excited, because the intensive starts bright early tomorrow morning! Can’t wait to see all of our dancers work hard this week before we gear up for another amazing dance season!

July has been FULL of dance here at MAFA! From summer camp fun, working hard at the intensive, or learning new skills in the night classes, we have dancers of all ages breaking a sweat this summer season! August is coming and that means more chances to dance! Our August session of our dance intensive runs between the 12th-16th, and we have our Frozen dance camp coming up the week of August 5th-9th! The dancers are showing so much growth in the night classes, so if your looking for a chance to get yourself or your child into class before the season begins, drop in before classes end on August 15th! Registration for the 2024-2025 season is open! Make sure to sign your child up for another year of dance, hard work, and fun!
